Clematis Buds
I did a small photographic project for the National
collection of Clematis Montana some years ago. It involved taking pictures of
the flowers and buds of all the Clematis in the collection.
I was surprised at the different sizes and shapes of the buds.
So I decided to take pictures of the buds, showing as many of the Clematis we have
here in the garden.
I don't really think this helps very much in the identification of any
particular Clematis, but it may be interesting to view.
